We're looking for a Senior АІ Engineer to join an R&D initiative focused on vessel detection using Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) data — building deep learning and computer vision solutions that analyze acoustic and vibration patterns in real-world maritime environments.

Responsibilities:

• Research and validate ML approaches for vessel detection using DAS data
• Train, fine-tune, and optimize deep learning and Computer Vision models for acoustic signal analysis
• Analyze vessel-related vibration and noise patterns: engine, propeller, and hull-wave interaction signals
• Build and maintain scalable ML pipelines and model deployments on GCP (Vertex AI, Cloud Run)
• Track and evaluate model performance using ML metrics: Precision/Recall, ROC curves
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and research teams in an international environment

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial experience in Machine Learning / Deep Learning engineering
• Strong expertise with PyTorch and modern Computer Vision architectures (Vision Transformers, DINO)
• Hands-on experience with MLOps and cloud-based ML development using MLflow and Vertex AI
• Solid Python engineering skills (3.11/3.12+) with modern development workflows
• Strong background in signal processing, time-series analysis, and large-scale data processing (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, H3)
• Advanced English with confident communication in international teams

Nice to have:

• Experience with Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) or acoustic/vibration data
• Background in maritime, defense, or geophysical domains
• Familiarity with GCP beyond Vertex AI (Cloud Run, BigQuery, etc.)
