Senior AI Engineer, Data Analytics

About the team

The AI team is at the heart of our company’s data and AI strategy. We’re building a world-class, customer-facing analytics product that turns data into business impact through AI. As a Senior AI Engineer, you’ll build the agent systems at the heart of it — turning natural-language questions into trustworthy, accurate answers over business data that our customers can rely on.

This is a role for someone who pairs deep AI engineering with solid data engineering foundations — comfortable not just building agents, but understanding the data and metrics they reason over and what makes those answers reliable. You’ll own meaningful problems end to end and set a high bar for technical quality.

This role is based in Singapore.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and ship AI agent applications and agent harnesses that answer business questions accurately over governed data.
• Build core agent capabilities, including retrieval‑augmented generation, natural‑language‑to‑query, and tool or function calling.
• Improve AI output quality through prompt and context engineering, evaluation benchmarks, guardrails, and ongoing quality measurement.
• Partner on governed metrics, data models, and data pipelines so agents can reason over consistent, reliable, and secure business data.
• Apply strong data governance and security practices, including the safe handling of sensitive data, to meet financial‑services standards.
• Contribute strong engineering judgment to technical design and review, and help raise the technical bar across the team.

Who you are

We’re looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience building production software, including AI applications, data pipelines, and data models.
• Hands‑on experience building and deploying agentic AI applications in production.
• Experience improving AI system accuracy and reliability through evaluation, guardrails, or quality measurement.
• Strong Python, SQL, software engineering, and data modeling fundamentals.
• Track record of shipping reliable AI or data products and turning ambiguous business or product needs into clear technical solutions.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience defining and maintaining semantic layers or metrics layers.
• Experience with data governance, metadata management, and data security.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms and transformation frameworks such as Databricks, Spark, and dbt.
• Experience building batch or streaming data pipelines using Kafka, Flink, or change‑data‑capture tooling.
• Experience building secure customer‑facing or multi‑tenant products, including access control and data isolation.
• Experience with low‑latency analytics technologies such as ClickHouse.
• Experience in fintech, payments, or other financial platforms.
