Senior AI Engineer - Denmark
Summary
A hands-on Senior AI Engineer at Better Collective in Copenhagen builds, tests, and productionizes AI solutions for the publishing business, focusing on automated content creation and AI-assisted publishing workflows. Core stack includes LLMs, APIs, orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex), Python/TypeScript, and agentic coding tools like Cursor and Claude Code.
Who we are
Better Collective is a global digital sports media group on a mission to excite sports fans and build communities worldwide. We operate at the intersection of sports, media, technology, betting, and prediction markets. With brands like FUTBIN, HLTV, Action Network, Playmaker HQ, VegasInsider, Bolavip, FutbolSites, and more, we engage 450+ million monthly users worldwide. We combine the scale of a corporation with the speed and mindset of a startup.
About the role
We’re looking for an AI Engineer to join Better Collective and help us build, test, and improve AI-driven solutions and automated workflows for the publishing business. You will collaborate with QA, product, editorial, and production teams to build proofs-of-concept, MVPs, and scalable solutions across content, video, image, and data processing.
What you’ll do
Build, run, and evaluate POCs and MVPs, especially for automated content creation and AI-assisted publishing workflows.
Develop practical AI solutions using LLMs, APIs, orchestration frameworks, retrieval systems, automation pipelines, and agentic workflows.
Experiment quickly with new tools, frameworks, models, and technical approaches.
Translate business needs into reliable technical solutions with a focus on speed and measurable value.
What we’re looking for
Must have
Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools, LLMs, and API integrations.
Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar.
Strong programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
Ability to code, debug, integrate APIs, and design AI-powered workflows.
Experience building and evaluating practical AI solutions.
Nice to have
Prompt engineering, model evaluation, and output validation.
Workflow automation and agentic systems experience.
Important: This is not a no-code or low-code automation role. Tools such as Make, Zapier, Lovable, or Bolt can be useful, but they are not enough on their own. We’re looking for someone comfortable working directly with code and using AI as part of a serious engineering workflow.
About the hiring process
As part of the final hiring process, candidates must present a project, prototype, workflow, or pipeline they personally built that actively uses AI. It should demonstrate:
The problem being solved and how AI was used.
The tools, models, APIs, frameworks, or coding agents involved.
The approach taken to build it.
What worked, what didn’t, and what they changed.
The final result and its practical value.
Projects built only with no-code or low-code tools will not meet this requirement unless they also include clear coding, API integration, or technical system design. This is intended to demonstrate hands-on ability, technical curiosity, and independent execution.
