Discussion

Niuro is hiring a Senior AI Engineer for a US fintech that funds small businesses. Its decisions run on financial data and documents, such as bank transactions, so an error costs real money. You will build AI systems that automate this work, prove they work and operate them in production.

You will:

- Turn messy financial data and documents into structured data people can trust.
- Automate underwriting, collections and support workflows, keeping human judgment where it matters.
- Decide what a model does and what plain code does, and keep systems as simple as possible.
- Measure business impact, study every failure and work directly with underwriters.

You bring:
- Production software built, deployed and operated, mostly in Python and SQL. You still code every week.
- Hands-on LLM work with structured outputs, tool use, evaluation and cost control.
- AI systems used by real users, with evidence that they worked.
- Cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Azure or Databricks.
- Clear Spanish and English, written and spoken.

Nice to have: OCR and document processing, retrieval, entity extraction, bank transactions or open banking data.

Remote from Latin America, full-time contractor.
