Senior AI Engineer (Forward Deployed)

Salary: $918.00 per day plus super

Join a high-impact team driving AI adoption across enterprise engineering squads. We're looking for a hands-on Senior AI Engineer with deep experience building and deploying AI agents, coaching teams, and embedding AI-assisted delivery practices within regulated environments.

What you'll be doing:

• Design, build, tune, and evaluate AI agents and multi-agent workflows

• Develop reusable agent skills, prompts, templates, and governance frameworks

• Coach engineering squads on AI-assisted software delivery and GitHub Copilot adoption

• Drive spec-driven, PR-based development workflows and AI engineering best practices

• Engage with architecture, risk, compliance, and delivery stakeholders

• Measure and demonstrate business value through clear delivery metrics

What we're looking for:

• Strong hands-on experience building AI agents using Python plus one or more of C#, C++, TypeScript, or JavaScript

• Experience working within AI governance, risk, and compliance frameworks

• Background in Banking or Insurance environments

• Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS

• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Copilot, VS Code, Jira, and Confluence

• Strong stakeholder management and technical consulting capabilities

Nice to have:

• SAFe or scaled Agile experience

• LLMOps, observability, and AI audit trail experience

• InnerSource knowledge

• Familiarity with APRA standards (CPS 230, CPS 234)

• Experience with LeanIX and Figma
