Senior AI Engineer (LLMs, Python, AWS)

Niuro is hiring a Senior AI Engineer for a US tax software company. Full-time contractor role, 100% remote from Latin America, paid in USD.
What you'll do:
- Design, build and improve AI systems, including agent-based workflows.
- Debug, refactor and stabilize LLM systems already running in production.
- Integrate AI capabilities through REST APIs and backend services.
- Deploy, monitor and operate AI services on AWS or Azure with CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
- Work with engineering, product and leadership to pay down technical debt and explain trade-offs clearly.
Must-have:
- 5+ years in software or AI engineering.
- Strong Python with FastAPI or an equivalent framework.
- Production experience with LLM platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock or Azure OpenAI).
- APIs, microservices, CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
- Hands-on experience debugging, stabilizing and scaling AI systems in production.
- C1 English, written and spoken.
Nice to have: C# / .NET; LangGraph, LlamaIndex, LangChain or MCP; Docker, Kubernetes or ECS; CloudWatch, Prometheus or Grafana; embeddings, semantic search and vector databases.
