Senior AI Engineer leading HFM's Marketing Platform team in Larnaca: managing and mentoring AI engineers while building generative AI and multilingual content-production capabilities (LLM fine-tuning, RAG, evaluation guardrails) on Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL and AWS, working directly with marketing stakeholders.

As we
continue to expand, we are seeking a driven and strategic Senior AI Engineer to lead our Marketing Platform team.

- Lead and develop a dedicated team of AI engineers,
owning technical direction, code quality, sprint delivery and the growth of
each engineer.
- Take accountability for smooth delivery of the
platform, planning releases and integrating new capabilities into the live
product without disrupting existing users.
- Work directly with Marketing stakeholders to
interrogate requests, challenge assumptions and translate business requirements
into AI models and agents; the role is as analytical and consultative as it is
technical.
- Design and extend generative AI capabilities for
marketing content production, with the human review and approval steps that
govern every output.
- Lead the development of multilingual AI
capabilities, covering model selection, adaptation, quality evaluation and
production serving.
- Architect and evolve the platform’s data and state
layer to support reliable workflow execution, asynchronous processing and
semantic retrieval at scale.
- Establish the evaluation and guardrail practice for
generated content: evaluation sets, output validation and quality thresholds
that gate a release rather than describe it afterwards.
- Set the engineering standards the team works to,
including prompt versioning, observability, runbooks and the review culture
that keeps a fast-moving product safe to change.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,
Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of backend software development
experience, including 2+ years building and deploying LLM or generative AI
applications in production.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring a team
of engineers, with accountability for delivery commitments as well as for code.
- Strong proficiency in Python, FastAPI and
PostgreSQL, with solid experience of cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
- Hands-on experience across the model lifecycle
– adaptation or fine-tuning, systematic evaluation, deployment and serving.
- Experience with retrieval-augmented generation
and vector search (pgvector, OpenSearch, Qdrant or similar).
- Strong analytical and stakeholder-facing
skills: able to establish what non-technical business users actually need and
turn it into a specification a team can build against.
- Excellent communication skills and full
professional proficiency in English, with the confidence to present trade-offs
and delivery risk to senior stakeholders.
- A track record of shipping incremental features
into a live product without regression.
Nice
to have:
- Experience with content generation, marketing
technology or creative production platforms.
- Experience with multi-agent orchestration
frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, LlamaIndex) or the Model Context
Protocol (MCP).
- Familiarity with multilingual NLP or machine
translation, and with evaluating language quality beyond automated metrics.
- Experience building workflow engines,
multi-stage approval flows, or role-based access control.
- Familiarity with FinTech platforms, FX trading,
or financial services operations.
