We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior AI Engineer to join our Analytics and Insights team.

Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity

NHC Toka Tū Ake (NHC) is well into its AI journey.

We've moved through experimentation and proof of concept, built the governance, tools and capabilities to implement AI safely, and now we’re investing in the people who will turn that groundwork into real value.

Our new fixed term AI roles are about delivery: redesigning processes with AI and automation and building the skills and confidence across our organisation to make the most of these technologies.

These roles will help us test and strengthen this approach as we continue to learn what works best for NHC Toka Tū Ake.

The Senior AI Engineer will provide the technical backbone of the AI team, leading the design, build and delivery of production-ready solutions using AI and machine learning.

You’ll also set technical standards and reusable approaches that help us scale AI safely and sustainably.

If you have the technical depth to take AI solutions from idea to production delivery, we'd like to hear from you.

You'll get to put your skills into practice in an organisation nimble enough to move fast and get decisions made.

Ko wai koe | About You

• proven experience designing, building and delivering end-to-end technology solutions, preferably in a Microsoft Azure environment
• tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline
• practical experience with AI development tools such as Azure AI Foundry, or Microsoft Copilot Studio is an advantage
• strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• the ability to work collaboratively in a small AI-focused team alongside the principal AI advisor, adoption advisor and process analyst
