Senior AI Engineer
About the role
We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to conduct research and development on world models and robot learning algorithms for embodied intelligent robots. You will work on policy training, model pre-training and behavioral learning using large-scale simulation datasets, and develop robot perception, prediction, planning and control algorithms based on deep learning, imitation learning and reinforcement learning. You will also explore cutting-edge technologies including world models, robot foundation models and Vision-Language-Action (VLA), and deliver prototype design, experimental validation and deployment on robot platforms.
Key responsibilities
Research and develop world models and robot learning algorithms for embodied intelligent robots.
Explore methodologies for robot policy training, model pre-training and behavioral learning leveraging large-scale simulation datasets.
Develop robot perception, prediction, planning and control algorithms built upon deep learning, imitation learning and reinforcement learning.
Investigate Sim-to-Real, domain randomization and few-shot real-world data adaptation techniques to improve generalization of robot algorithms across real environments and diverse task scenarios.
Establish pipelines for multi-modal data processing, model training, evaluation and validation for robots.
Research state-of-the-art technologies including world models, robot foundation models and Vision-Language-Action (VLA); perform algorithm prototyping, experimental verification and deployment testing on robot platforms.
About you
PhD degree in Computer Science, Automation, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering or other related STEM disciplines. Winners of the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) and/or Chinese Mathematics Olympiad (CMO) are strongly preferred.
Minimum 1 year of research, development or project experience in world models, robot learning, reinforcement learning, imitation learning, embodied intelligence, robot simulation or related fields.
Solid theoretical foundation in robotics, deep learning and mathematics.
Proficient in Python and PyTorch or other mainstream deep learning frameworks.
Hands-on experience with at least one robot simulation platform such as Isaac Sim / Isaac Lab, MuJoCo or Gazebo.
Strong problem-solving capability, good cross-team communication and collaboration skills.
