The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Lead the technical direction of an AI-driven conversational product, shaping architecture, model selection and how quality is measured. Deliver production features across the stack while collaborating closely with early users and engineering leadership.

What you'll do

- Build the reasoning, tool-calling and memory layers of an AI agent, including graceful recovery when live interactions go off script within strict latency budgets.

- Create evaluation pipelines and data workflows that convert real conversation logs into steady, measurable gains, adding fine-tuning where it pays off.

- Strengthen the dependability of browser-based automation that runs during live sessions.

- Deliver full-stack features using TypeScript and Node.js.

- Partner with early customers to refine the product based on their feedback.

- Choose which models and techniques to adopt, weigh build versus buy decisions, and plan the next set of capabilities.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- Around 3 to 7 years of engineering experience, with a track record of taking AI agents from concept through to production.

- Prior hands-on work at a company in conversational AI, AI-driven sales, browser agents or a comparable fast-moving AI area.

- A minimum of one year working on low-latency, streaming or live audio systems.

- Background building interactive, real-time software or automation agents.

- Accountability for the whole agent lifecycle, including quality evaluation, monitoring and cost control.

- Strong command of modern JavaScript-based web development, especially TypeScript and Node.js.

- A computer science degree is preferred, though candidates from math, physics, engineering or other technical backgrounds are welcome.

Bonus points

- Familiarity with browser automation tooling.

- Past experience as a startup founder or founding engineer.

- An entrepreneurial mindset.

- Base salary: USD 200,000 to 250,000 per year
