- Modeling and experimentation for fuzzy matching and AML screening quality
- Building evaluation datasets and metrics for match quality measurement
- Designing scoring and ML approaches for real-time decisioning
- Owning production quality of models and configurations including monitoring and incident follow-up
- Investigating customer-reported matching issues with Product and Customer Success
- Collaborating with Product, QA, Architects, DevOps, and Customer Success
- Capturing learnings from experiments and introducing AI tools and techniques
- Mentoring teammates and raising data science practice standards
- 5+ years of experience in data science or machine learning with production model delivery
- Strong Python skills
- Strong command of statistical analysis and experiment design including offline and online evaluation of search or matching quality
- Experience with NLP or text-based machine learning such as text classification, named entity recognition, or text matching
- Experience owning full lifecycle of data-driven systems including deployment and monitoring
- Solid background in data analysis and SQL with understanding of backend services and APIs
- Experience with non-relational or search databases, ideally Elasticsearch
- Working experience with a major cloud provider, ideally AWS, including deploying models and data pipelines
- Clear communication skills for explaining modeling trade-offs to Product and non-technical stakeholders
- Track record of turning ambiguous problems into end-to-end solutions and spotting delivery risks early
- Prior experience in AML, KYC, or regulated financial services domain
- Experience driving cross-team technical work
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools and helping a team apply them with good judgment
