About the Department

• The AI and Digital Platform team supports Franklin Templeton’s Sales and Distribution organization by delivering AI, digital, data, and workflow solutions that drive business performance. The team includes software engineers, AI specialists, data professionals, architects, and product partners who collaborate in small, multidisciplinary teams. The environment is hands-on, evidence-driven, and highly collaborative, giving employees opportunities to solve complex business problems, shape enterprise AI products, mentor peers, and influence technical direction.

How You Will Add Value?

Core Responsibilities

• You will lead Generative AI solution design and delivery.
• You will build scalable full-stack applications and services.
• You will shape AI user experiences and technical architecture.
• You will develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation solutions and agent workflows.
• You will create reusable AI platforms, services, and components.
• You will implement secure, reliable, and scalable production systems.
• You will measure and improve AI product performance.

Strategic Responsibilities

• You will define architecture standards and implementation patterns.
• You will balance quality, cost, latency, and security requirements.
• You will establish telemetry, evaluation, and monitoring approaches.
• You will guide engineering decisions using data and product outcomes.
• You will improve delivery processes and operational excellence.

Team & Collaboration

• You will mentor and develop engineering talent.
• You will conduct design and code reviews.
• You will collaborate with product, data science, and architecture teams.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role?

Experience, Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Equivalent practical experience accepted.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience delivering complex production software.
• Experience building enterprise Generative AI solutions.

Technical Skills

• Expert Python development.
• FastAPI or Django frameworks.
• APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation and vector search.
• Agent orchestration and Model Context Protocol.
• Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native platforms.
• Security, observability, and production operations.

Soft Skills

• Strong technical leadership.
