The opportunity

You'll play a key role in designing and building a sophisticated data platform capable of ingesting, integrating and processing information from a variety of systems.

Working alongside a talented team, you'll combine strong software engineering fundamentals with modern AI-assisted development techniques to accelerate delivery, improve code quality and explore new ways of solving problems.

You'll have the opportunity to influence the technical direction of the platform from the outset, with the autonomy to contribute ideas, challenge assumptions and help establish engineering standards.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop scalable, production-quality software for a new enterprise data platform.

• Build integrations that bring together information from multiple disparate systems and data sources.

• Develop robust APIs, backend services and data ingestion capabilities.

• Make sound architectural decisions around scalability, performance, reliability and maintainability.

• Apply AI-assisted development tools and techniques to improve engineering productivity.

• Work collaboratively with other engineers and stakeholders to turn complex requirements into practical solutions.

• Take ownership of technical challenges from initial design through to implementation and delivery.

• Help establish good engineering practices and contribute to the long-term evolution of the platform.

What we're looking for

You'll be an experienced software engineer who combines technical depth with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset.

You'll ideally bring:

• Significant commercial software engineering experience, with a strong backend development background.

• Experience designing and building enterprise-grade applications and distributed systems.

• A solid understanding of APIs, data integration and working with multiple systems.

• Experience developing scalable, reliable and maintainable software.

• A genuine interest in AI and its practical application to software engineering.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and a willingness to explore how they can improve development workflows.

• The ability to make good technical decisions, work independently and collaborate effectively with others.

• A builder's mentality: you're comfortable with ambiguity, enjoy solving difficult problems and take pride in delivering quality software.
