Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Alteryx Consultant with 7–10 years of overall IT experience and strong hands-on expertise in Alteryx, SQL, and Informatica.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining complex Alteryx workflows for enterprise-level data integration, ETL/ELT, data transformation, and workflow automation requirements.

Strong SQL programming skills and practical experience with Informatica ETL tools are essential. The candidate should be capable of independently handling technical requirements, developing scalable data solutions, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Alteryx Development & Workflow Automation

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain complex Alteryx workflows using Alteryx Designer.
• Build scalable data preparation, cleansing, transformation, blending, and automation solutions.
• Work extensively with Alteryx tools such as Join, Union, Summarize, Formula, Filter, Multi-Row Formula, Cross Tab, Transpose, and Dynamic Input.
• Develop reusable workflows and implement best practices for performance optimization.
• Schedule, manage, and monitor workflows using Alteryx Server / Gallery.
• Troubleshoot workflow failures and improve processing efficiency.
• Integrate Alteryx with databases, flat files, APIs, and enterprise data platforms.

SQL & Database Expertise

• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries involving multiple joins, subqueries, CTEs, and analytical functions.
• Work with stored procedures, temporary tables, views, and query performance optimization.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks.
• Analyze large datasets and identify data inconsistencies and performance bottlenecks.
• Work with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise databases.

Informatica ETL & Data Integration

• Work with Informatica PowerCenter / Informatica IDMC (IICS) for enterprise data integration and ETL processes.
• Understand existing Informatica mappings, workflows, sessions, and transformations.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot ETL workflows and data integration processes.
• Support data migration, source-to-target mapping, data validation, and reconciliation.
• Analyze and optimize ETL processes for improved performance and scalability.

Technical Delivery & Collaboration

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, architects, and stakeholders.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and production validation.
• Prepare technical documentation and workflow design specifications.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual data processing and reporting activities.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• Ensure adherence to development standards and data governance practices.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Alteryx Designer and complex workflow development.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, analytical functions, and query optimization.
• Practical experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica IDMC (IICS).
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing.
• Experience in data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Alteryx Server / Alteryx Gallery.
• Alteryx Macros and Analytic Applications.
• Python scripting and automation.
• Tableau / Power BI.
• Snowflake, Teradata, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Data migration and ETL modernization experience.

Required Candidate Profile

• 7–10 years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Alteryx development experience.
• Strong SQL development and optimization experience.
• Practical experience with Informatica ETL tools.
• Experience in enterprise data integration and transformation projects.
• Ability to independently handle development, troubleshooting, and technical delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Client-facing consulting experience will be an added advantage.
