Analyzes and optimizes marketers’ agency spends, ensuring financial compliance and contract terms while building data-driven reports for clients in APAC.

The Role
This role is for a Senior Analyst/Associate Consultant, based in Singapore.

Our team evaluates marketers’ marketing agencies commercial spends, and recommends approaches to optimize value.

Increasingly we deliver these services at scale, building and managing data driven projects to support centralized oversight and ongoing governance of spends.

We need a Senior Analyst/Associate Consultant – Agencies’ Commercials to take ownership of commercial analysis, fee benchmarking, and financial contract compliance across our regional and global clients. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders - Directors, Senior Consultants and the Analyst steam to ensure mediasense delivers consistently high-quality work within agreed timelines with clients.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide support the APAC commercial team in document processes, integrating and connecting multiple data sources for data processing and end-to-end analysis for our clients.

· Troubleshoot workflow issues and maintain data quality across all processes.

· Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying new tools, processes, or methods that enhance data processing, efficiency and visualization of analytics.

1.1 Commercial Analysis & Contract Compliance Audit

· Provide support in commercial and financial consulting projects across multiple markets.

· Support preparation of commercial templates to collect vendors service fees (agency fees) for our clients.

· Track commercial submissions, ensure submissions are accurate and complete.

· Commercial analysis - agency fee, benchmarking, review contract terms, identify negotiation opportunities and discussions.

· Support the refinement of internal benchmarking tools, data, processes to drive consistency and efficiency.

· Support financial compliance audits through data processing/reconciliations, document reviews, and audit findings.

· Maintain clear, structured analysis and contribute to client-ready reports and presentations.

· Maintain organised working papers, documentation, and structured storage of project data.

1.2 Scope Tracking & Reconciliation

· Support customization of reconciliation templates to track client/agency scopes utilization.

· Collect, validate, and analyse data from agencies, identifying discrepancies and following up on clarifications.

· Perform analysis of budget vs actual utilization, and identify key drivers of variances.

· Highlight findings, risks, and potential fee impacts in a structured and client-ready format.

· Track follow-up actions and support consultants in subsequent review periods.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Prior experience (4+ years) in Audit, Management Consulting, Commercial/Financial Analysis, or Data Analytics.

· Strong understanding of audit principles, commercial evaluation, data validation and processes standardisation.

· Excellent analytical thinking, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

· Effective communication skills, capable of explaining analysis outcomes and recommendation to stakeholders.

· Highly organised, proactive, and able to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision.

· Meticulous, positive mindset balancing speed with quality and accuracy of work.

· Able to work both independently and collaboratively across markets and time zones.

· Awareness of data governance, workflow documentation, and standardisation best practices.

· Demonstrated experience in automating manual workflows and improving process efficiency.

· Strong Excel skills, Power Query, Power Pivot and PowerPoint; able to structure robust data, identify patterns, and extract informative insights.

· Experience building data visualisation through dashboarding or analytical platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio or similar tools) is an advantage.

· Exposure to Advertising, Media, Marketing or working with regional teams is an advantage.
