Senior Analyst / Associate
Summary
Analyzes APAC investment opportunities, structures deals, and prepares reports to support QIA’s portfolio strategy and co-investment pipeline.
Job Purpose
- To contribute to assigned investments by providing analysis, insight, and reports regarding the APAC Region.
- To contribute to the development of the respective sub-asset classes through external investment managers and support in the development of a co-investment pipeline for QIA’s internal Investment teams, in line with the risk-appetite, to achieve optimal returns across different asset classes.
Accountabilities
- Review, recommend and prepare plan for structuring new investments/transactions, running the majority of transaction components, and ensure relevant documentation in coordination with internal departments in order to safeguard QIA’s interests.
- Operates within practices and procedures, covered by precedents and well-defined policies.
- Provide reports and analysis to the team in preparation of detailed business plans in relation to the investment strategy.
- Perform initial screening, analysis and conduct technical modelling of investment opportunities and support in the evaluation and analysis of potential investments.
- Compile reports and analysis independently with outcomes reviewed by senior colleagues.
- Keep abreast of latest market trends and developments through engaging in ongoing market research and transferring knowledge to the team to ensure QIA receives market updates as required and develops a knowledgeable team.
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or equivalent from a reputable and recognized university. MBA/CFA designation preferable.
- Minimum Experience: 5+ years of progressive professional experience in Investment Houses and similar investment institutions and the Department's specific expertise
