Senior Analyst
Purpose of Role
The Senior Analyst supports the onshore Senior Data Analyst in delivering trusted reporting, analytics and data products that enable data-driven decision making across Aurecon. Working closely with stakeholders, DA&ER delivery teams and the Enterprise Reporting & Insights Lead, the role helps translate business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions
The role provides hands-on support across business analysis, data modelling, visualisation, testing, documentation and data quality activities, while also acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders seeking guidance on reporting, data sources and source system queries.
Through strong collaboration, continuous improvement and a focus on data governance, reporting adoption and AI readiness, the role contributes to the ongoing development of Aurecon's data and analytics capability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of Senior Analyst, you will:
- Work with the onshore Senior Data Analyst to support the delivery of reporting, analytics and data products. Partner closely with the Lead to execute visualisation initiatives, stakeholder engagement activities, requirements definition, data modelling, testing, documentation, governance and continuous improvement priorities.
- Support the design, development and enhancement of reporting, analytics and visualisation solutions that provide trusted insights, improve business performance and align with enterprise standards.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of trusted data assets, reporting standards, business definitions and governance practices to ensure consistency, quality and confidence in Finance information.
- Support the validation, testing and reconciliation of reporting and analytics solutions to ensure data integrity, accuracy and alignment with business requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to business users on reporting, data sources, system-generated information and data quality issues, helping improve data literacy and adoption of enterprise reporting solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation, knowledge assets and standards while identifying opportunities to enhance reporting, analytics, data quality and business processes.
- Work collaboratively with Finance stakeholders, DA&ER delivery squads and the onshore Analytics team to support the successful delivery, adoption and ongoing optimisation of data and reporting solutions.

This role supports that journey by helping drive adoption of trusted reporting solutions, improving data quality and governance, and enabling stakeholders to confidently use data to support decision-making.
The role requires balancing business needs, data standards and user experience while working across multiple stakeholders, systems and delivery teams to support Aurecon's analytics and AI ambitions.
