Lead Analyst/Coordinator (m/f) in Integrated Risk Management

(work location: Zagreb)

The position involves operational participation in the implementation of second-line control activities in the field of ICT risk management, in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices. The role includes cooperation with relevant business functions, monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of first-line controls, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the ICT risk management system.

Specific work tasks include participating in the coordination and implementation of second-line control activities in the field of ICT risk, with an emphasis on monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on the effectiveness of controls, which entails:

  • reviewing and assessing the quality of first-line control implementation through the analysis of documentation, records, and systems
  • identifying deviations and weaknesses in the control environment and drafting recommendations for their remediation
  • participating in the creation and maintenance of checklists, methodologies, and procedures for conducting second-line controls
  • collaborating with IT, security, and business functions to exchange information and ensure the effectiveness of controls
  • preparing regular and ad-hoc reports on the results of conducted controls, including trend and risk analysis
  • dynamically monitoring international best practices, as well as applicable regulations in the field of ICT risk management, and proposing improvements to existing first-line and second-line control implementation processes.

Formal requirements that all candidates must meet are:

  • University degree (Master's) in a technical field (e.g., computer science, electrical engineering) or economics. For candidates with an economics background, an understanding of ICT concepts and business processes related to information systems, security, and risk management is desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of English, both spoken and written
  • Desirable advanced skills in using MS Office tools, analytical abilities, and experience working with databases in a statistical tool (SAS or similar)

Ideal candidates for this position possess:

  • Interest in topics in the field of risk management, which includes a wide spectrum of ICT risks such as risks related to security incidents, business continuity, third-party risks, etc.
  • Knowledge of regulations and frameworks in the field of ICT risk management, including DORA, NIST, COBIT, and similar standards, with the ability to understand their application in the context of operational resilience, control management, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Proactivity and motivation for continuous improvement, a desire to research and acquire new knowledge
  • Independence in work, organization, and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, confidence, and proactivity in approach
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to express oneself clearly, structurally, and precisely when creating reports and presentations
  • Excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written
