Senior Analyst, Financial Accounting & Reporting
The Senior Analyst is responsible for the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial information to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial statements using the US GAAP principles. The role supports month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, financial reporting, audits, compliance activities, budgeting support, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Senior Analyst identifies financial risks and variances, resolves accounting issues, and ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal and external audit controls, group policies, and regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze accruals and journal entries in accordance with close calendars, accounting policies, and internal controls during monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Prepare schedules and documentation to support management reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Apply independent judgment to identify trends, variances, key performance indicators and risks impacting financial results, and recommend appropriate actions
- Collaborate with the Operations team and other business teams to research issues, explain accounting outcomes, and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP/IFRS, company policies, and internal controls within the financials.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, documentation, systems usage, and efficiency to strengthen financial controls.
- Provide guidance, review support, and escalation assistance without formal people-management responsibility.
- Ad-hoc projects or assignments as required by the leadership team.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 4 – 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Demonstrated experience supporting month end close and financial reporting processes.
- CPA, ACCA, CA or CMA designation preferred or working towards.
- Experience in multi—entity, corporate or regulated environment would be advantageous
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Experience supporting audits and interaction with external auditors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and exemplary organizational skills are critical.
- Self-starter and a team player.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Salary Range: USD$68-000 - USD$90,000 per annum. Quallent also offers a highly competitive benefits package.
