The Opportunity:
- KPMG has a longstanding presence in the New Zealand market as a trusted M&A advisor, with a senior team having extensive investment banking experience.
- We are looking to add a Senior Analyst or Manager to support the execution of M&A advisory mandates within our growing team.
- As part of KPMG’s globally ranked M&A platform (consistently #1 or #2 in the mid-market) and leading New Zealand team (winner of INFINZ mid-market M&A deal of the year in 2026), you’ll have access to a strong pipeline of high-quality mandates, including domestic and cross-border transactions, often delivered in collaboration with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions.

Day To Day You Will:
- Support execution of M&A transactions, including preparation of key process materials (e.g. Information Memorandum, management presentations, etc.)
- Build detailed financial models and perform valuation analysis
- Support the senior team with overall M&A process management
- Engage directly with clients, including founders, management and investors
- Collaborate closely with the broader Deal Advisory team and senior stakeholders across the full M&A deal lifecycle
- Support administrative requirements of the team
About You:
- 2–6 years’ experience in a high quality corporate advisory, investment banking or corporate development role
- A strong academic track record, demonstrating consistent performance
- Proven financial modelling capability, or an otherwise strong quantitative background
- Proven commercial acumen and genuine interest in business and markets
- A proactive, self-starting approach with ability to perform under pressure
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- High energy, motivation and ambition for a career in M&A
