Job Description:

OMD’s Decisions Science team plays a vital role in ensuring that our clients realise the full potential of their marketing, their brand, and their audiences. This role will suit a candidate who is passionate about data and analytics, focused on digging into questions about brands, people, and where the two interact.

The successful candidate would have a proven record of combining a creative approach to analytical problem-solving with delivering client friendly solutions, in an articulate and insightful style. They will be at a stage in their career where they want to lead projects in their own rights and be making their first steps into managing more junior team members.

Senior Analysts are the engine room of our team, helping our Consultants distil client questions into project form and using those to create implementational outputs that improve our client’s business.

CLIENTS & COMMERCIALS:

Forward-thinking and organised, you will be developing experience in managing client relationships and are looking to take more responsibility for client engagement, ranging from project delivery through to consultancy.

Your experience delivering marketing and audience analytics projects will mean you play a key role in the delivery of existing scopes of work as well as beginning to support on the workloads and outputs of more junior members of the team.

You will gain an understanding of the commercial side of research and analytics and will contribute to our scoping and delivery of insightful and profitable projects.

TALENT & CULTURE:

We are looking for an individual who is keen to develop their line and project management exposure and is comfortable acting as a role model for the junior members of the analytics team.

The role will suit a collaborative team player with demonstrable experience in contributing creative solutions to analytical problems. You will play a role in the Decisions Science community; sharing and collaborating with other analysts.

You will begin to take on day to day coaching and development of more junior members of the wider team including some line management responsibility.

FUTURE GROWTH & PRODUCT:

We want someone enthusiastic about creating something new, who is excited to contribute to the development of new solutions and analytical approaches – working closely with other specialist services, agency teams, and the wider analytics teams.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES

A good presenter with the ability to tell insightful stories with data.

Ideally with some experience in wrangling large-scale and unstructured datasets in order to build models and draw insights from. Experience with survey data is a plus.

You can ensure modelling output is technically excellent, addresses client questions and can ensure that all output is fit for purpose, consistent and accurate.

We don’t believe any one tool fits all but look for excellent use of a mix of R, SQL, Python, Excel, PowerPoint and other approaches.
