Senior Analyst owning Workday integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors, XSLT) and advanced reporting (Advanced/Matrix/Composite Reports, dashboards) within an HRIS team, partnering across HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT to ensure reliable data flows and system optimization.
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Analyst, Workday Integrations & Reporting based in United States.
This role is a key technical position within an HRIS team responsible for advancing a modern and scalable HR technology environment.
You will own and enhance Workday integrations and reporting capabilities that support critical HR, payroll, benefits, finance, and business processes.
The position combines hands-on technical delivery with cross-functional partnership, data governance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
You will build reliable data flows, develop sophisticated reports and analytics, and ensure information remains accurate, secure, and actionable.
Your work will directly support HR operations, compliance, leadership decision-making, and the broader automation of people processes.
The role offers significant exposure to technical and business stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
With responsibility for both day-to-day operations and future enhancements, you will help shape the scalability and effectiveness of the HR technology ecosystem.
Accountabilities:
- Serve as a technical owner for Workday integrations and reporting, supporting ongoing operations, enhancements, and long-term system optimization.
- Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot Workday integrations, including inbound and outbound EIBs, Core Connectors, vendor file feeds, and Studio integrations where applicable.
- Develop and maintain custom Workday reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and analytics to support HR operations, compliance requirements, and leadership decision-making.
- Partner with HR, IT, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and external providers to ensure reliable data exchange and effective integration performance.
- Monitor integration activity, investigate errors, and coordinate timely resolution of issues affecting downstream systems and business processes.
- Participate in Workday release management, regression testing, validation, and change implementation to ensure system stability and continuity.
- Triage and resolve HRIS requests through ServiceNow while delivering responsive, service-oriented support to internal stakeholders.
- Strengthen data governance, audit readiness, security, and process efficiency through documentation, controls, system checks, and established reporting standards.
- Maintain integration documentation, technical build specifications, runbooks, and reporting resources to support scalability and knowledge continuity.
- Provide consultative guidance and training to HR partners and stakeholders on Workday reporting capabilities, integration impacts, and data considerations.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, reporting quality, integration reliability, and overall HR technology processes.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment while maintaining strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and delivery timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 8 years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years of hands-on Workday integration experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of Workday reporting capabilities, including Advanced, Matrix, and Composite Reports, calculated fields, dashboards, analytics, and reporting security.
- Hands-on experience with Workday integration technologies, particularly inbound and outbound EIBs, custom XSLT transformations, Core Connectors, and vendor data feeds.
- Familiarity with PICOF, PECI, CCW, APIs, and related data exchange methods is preferred.
- Experience with data security and encryption technologies such as PGP, AS2/X.509, and digital signatures.
- Exposure to Workday Studio is a plus, while Workday Integration Pro certification is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with meticulous attention to data quality and system integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with change management, release management, regression testing, and system validation processes.
- Strong communication and consultative skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and integration impacts clearly to business partners.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
- Ability to travel up to approximately 10% as needed, including travel to client or customer locations.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive and/or fly for business travel when required.

- Competitive base salary range of $125,000–$171,600, with actual compensation based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
