Senior analytics engineer partnering with the finance team at a crypto exchange to build data pipelines, models, reconciliations, dashboards, and a trusted finance data lake, plus prototype AI-assisted automation. Core stack: SQL, Python, Git, and dbt/Spark/Airflow.
You will translate finance workflows into data and automation solutions. You will build pipelines, models, reconciliations, dashboards, and controls; resolve data issues; support a finance data lake and close activities; improve data timeliness; and evaluate AI-assisted automation for production use.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Finance to translate workflows and business needs into data and automation solutions
- Build and maintain automated data preparation, reconciliation, reporting, and follow-up workflows
- Build dashboards and visualizations for finance stakeholders
- Resolve finance data issues and reconciliation breaks
- Build scalable pipelines that collect, transform, and curate data
- Support a trusted finance data lake with definitions, ownership, and quality checks
- Improve data timeliness for near-real-time insights
- Evaluate and prototype AI-assisted automation solutions
Requirements
- 7+ years of data analytics and data management experience in financial services or a regulated industry
- SQL and Python skills
- Git, merge request, code review, testing, and documentation experience
- Experience building pipelines and models with dbt, Spark, Airflow, or comparable tools
- Experience with finance or accounting data and reconciliations
- Experience owning pipelines end to end
- Experience supporting recurring financial close activities
- Ability to collaborate across Engineering and Finance
