Senior Analytics Engineer
Summary
Build and maintain dbt models, metrics, and dashboards for Polymarket’s crypto prediction markets, translating raw data into business insights.
You will own the modeling layer between raw data and business decisions. You will build dbt models and trusted datasets, define core metrics, improve warehouse performance, maintain self-service dashboards, translate stakeholder questions into durable models, and implement data quality tests and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Design and build dbt models from platform, trading, and third-party data
- Define core metrics including volume, traders, retention, acquisition cost, and revenue
- Partner on warehouse materialized views, incremental models, performance, and cost
- Build and maintain Vercel and Hex reporting
- Translate stakeholder questions into durable models
- Write model-layer tests and monitoring
- Model new products and market types
- Write end-to-end documentation
Requirements
- 7+ years in analytics engineering, data analytics, or a similar role
- Production experience owning a modeling layer
- Expert SQL
- Experience with dbt or equivalent
- Experience with Airflow or other orchestration solutions
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or ClickHouse
- Dimensional modeling and metric design skills
- Fluency with Hex, Looker, or similar BI tools
- Software engineering fundamentals and version control experience
- Experience in a fast-moving environment
