Senior Analytics Engineer
Summary
Builds and maintains data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics products to drive business decisions using SQL, dbt, and BI tools like Looker/Tableau, while collaborating with stakeholders and engineers.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to scope analyses, define metrics, and drive decision-making
- Own end-to-end dashboard development and business intelligence products
- Design and maintain data models and pipelines using dbt
- Ensure data quality and trust through testing and monitoring
- Collaborate with engineering on event instrumentation and schema changes
- Advance AI-assisted analytics workflows for SQL development and modeling
- Participate in code reviews and mentor team members
- 4–6 years of professional analytics experience
- Strong SQL proficiency for complex queries and debugging
- Experience with data modeling and schema design (facts vs. dimensions)
- Hands‑on experience with modern BI tools (e.g., Hex, Looker, Tableau)
- Familiarity with version control workflows like Git
- Experience with dbt or strong motivation to learn it
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment (Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery)
- Working knowledge of Python
