Senior Android Developer (Kotlin)

Salary: ₱140,000 – ₱160,000 per month

You'll build a reusable native Android SDK in Kotlin for an established Australian business developing nutrition and meal-planning technology. Third-party Android apps will embed what you build, so the work is as much about clean interfaces, packaging and documentation as it is about code.

It's a short, focused contract with a clear finish line: design the SDK, package and version it, prove it inside an existing production Android app, and support it through to release.

• Pay: ₱140,000 – ₱160,000 per month

• Location: 100% work from home

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM PHT

• Engagement: Contract, 3–4 months, starting immediately

What you'll be doing

• Design and build a modular, reusable Android SDK in Kotlin that host apps can embed

• Define the SDK interfaces and reusable native UI components host apps integrate against

• Integrate REST APIs behind nutrition, meal-planning and AI-powered features, handling networking, error states and performance

• Build secure authentication: token management, session handling, secure storage and user sync

• Package, version and distribute the SDK with Gradle and AAR

• Integrate and validate the SDK inside an existing production Android app

• Write the integration documentation and support testing through to production release

What you'll need

• At least 5 years of native Android development with Kotlin

• Experience building Android SDKs or libraries, not only apps

• Gradle, AAR packaging and SDK distribution

• REST API integration, including authentication flows

• Token-based authentication, session management and secure storage on Android

• Jetpack Compose and/or Android Views

• Android architecture, modularisation and dependency management

• Kotlin Coroutines, Flow and modern asynchronous patterns

• Strong debugging, performance and testing habits

• Experience working in an existing production Android codebase

• Comfortable owning your work independently, and available to start immediately

Nice to have

• Experience building an SDK for third-party commercial integrations

• OAuth 2.0, JWT or secure token exchange

• CameraX or image processing

• AI or chat functionality in a mobile app

• CI/CD and automated SDK publishing

• Node.js and Express backend experience

• Health or fitness consumer mobile experience, or a startup background
