Senior Android Engineer - Kotlin, TV/Streaming Platform

Deltatre S.p.A. in Italy is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to drive end-to-end Android features, from designs to production code, across phones, tablets and TVs. You will shape the Android platform, optimise performance, and coordinate engineers across regions.

The role requires 5+ years of engineering, strong Kotlin and Java, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, RxJava, JUnit/Mockito, and excellent English. Remote work is not available due to local legislation, with CCNL Commercio alignment.

Develop new user-facing features for Android using Kotlin and Java. Build reusable components and libraries for future use across the platform. Translate designs and wireframes into production code. Optimise components for performance across mobiles, tablets, and connected TVs. Coordinate Android engineers across regions and contribute to standards and best practices. Analyse requirements and flag potential challenges early to stakeholders. 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, including a minimum of 2 years at Senior Android Engineer level. Deep proficiency in Kotlin, with working command of Java. Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and the Android SDK. Experience with RxJava and unit testing (JUnit/Mockito). Knowledge of mobile architectural patterns (MVC/MVVM) and Google Play Services. Video playback experience on mobile; strong debugging and optimisation skills. Fluent written and spoken English; experience with global teams; cross-platform context helpful.
