Senior API & Integration Architect (DLN)

Herzum, now part of catworkx, is seeking a Senior Integration Architect to join the Knowledge Management & Data team in Italy. You will design and implement integration strategies, APIs and workflows across HTTP/S ecosystems, ensuring security, scalability, and maintainability.

Ideal candidates have a master’s degree, 20+ years in IT, strong English, and proven experience with REST/SOAP, asynchronous messaging and large-scale integration patterns. This hybrid role is based in Ispra, Italy.

Design, plan and implement integration strategies within an HTTP/S ecosystem. Apply distributed-architecture best practices to solve complex integration problems between information systems. Design, implement and document APIs, exposed securely on a public-facing API Gateway. Design, implement and deploy workflows. Develop, deploy and manage integration solutions on containerized infrastructure. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure solutions meet organisational standards for security, scalability and maintainability. Master’s degree or 5 years higher education. Minimum 20 years of IT experience. English B2 or higher.
