Senior Appian Developer

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Senior Appian Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade Appian applications for an Australian banking client. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on Appian development experience and exposure to banking or financial services projects.

• Design and develop Appian applications for loan origination, customer onboarding, account servicing, and complaints management.
• Develop integrations with core banking, payment, CRM, and identity verification systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Build reusable components, expression rules, process models, interfaces, and integration patterns.
• Implement secure workflows, role-based access, audit trails, and data protection measures.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and compliance teams.
• Perform code reviews, mentor developers, and follow Appian development best practices.
• Optimize application performance, error handling, and logging.
• Manage deployments across Development, Testing, UAT, and Production environments.
• Support UAT, troubleshoot defects, and provide Level 3 production support.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, estimations, and stakeholder discussions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Appian Lead Developer or Senior Developer certification.
• Knowledge of KYC, AML, and identity verification workflows.
• Experience with Java plugins or Appian Smart Services.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Git and Appian deployment tools.
