Senior Application Support Engineer (night shift)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Application Support Engineer to join a team responsible for supporting and maintaining critical applications in a production environment.

This role combines hands-on technical application support, monitoring, troubleshooting, IT Service Management and automation. You will work closely with development, infrastructure and other technology teams to ensure platform stability, resolve complex issues and continuously improve the supportability of the environment.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who goes beyond reactive production support. You should have a proactive approach to improving platform stability, automation and operational efficiency, with the ability to take ownership of technical issues and drive them through to resolution.

You will be comfortable working across multiple technical teams and communicating effectively with different stakeholders in an international environment.

• 5–7+ years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, IT Operations or a similar technical role.
• Strong hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux and Shell Scripting.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and databases.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, preferably Python.
• Solid experience in troubleshooting and supporting applications in production environments.
• Experience with technologies such as ELK, Kafka and Zookeeper.
• Experience with Geneos ITRS, Airflow and/or BMC Control-M would be an advantage.
• Understanding of IT Service Management, particularly Incident, Problem and Change Management.
• Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and automate day-to-day activities.
• Ability to independently investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
