Senior Applications Engineer

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly experienced Senior Applications Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in connecting customer needs with innovative technical solutions.

As our Senior Applications Engineer, you will serve as AoFrio's technical authority across refrigeration, HVAC, electronics, and connected technologies.
This is much more than a traditional engineering role. You will be the trusted technical advisor for customers, OEMs, and internal stakeholders, helping shape product strategy while ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of AoFrio solutions in production and field environments.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Customer teams to solve complex technical challenges, lead strategic projects, and transform customer insights into innovative solutions that deliver real business value.
You will also play a key role in supporting new product launches, managing technical escalations, guiding field trials, and influencing the future direction of AoFrio's products and services.

Requirements

You Will Need

• 7+ years of experience within the refrigeration, HVAC, controls, or related industries
• Strong technical expertise in refrigeration systems, HVAC applications, electronics, and communication technologies
• Experience working directly with customers, OEMs, and cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects with minimal supervision
• Experience investigating and resolving critical technical issues in customer environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions
• Experience supporting product implementation, testing, validation, and field deployments
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience mentoring and coaching engineers or technical professionals
• Professional English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Spanish and/or Portuguese language capability would be advantageous
