As a Senior Applied AI Specialist within our Data & AI team, you'll design self-service insight experiences and AI-native workflows that empower our people to access trusted information, make better decisions, and work more effectively. You'll play a key role in helping Air New Zealand unlock the value of data, analytics, and AI at scale.

About the role

  • Design self-service insight capabilities using AI, BI, and semantic layer tools
  • Create AI-native workflows with effective human decision points and governance controls
  • Develop standards, guardrails, and reusable patterns for insight generation and AI-enabled solutions
  • Translate business challenges into scalable data, analytics, and AI solutions
  • Partner with business, Digital, Data, and governance teams to deliver trusted and explainable outcomes
  • Support adoption and continuous improvement of AI-enabled ways of working

What we're looking for

  • Experience in analytics, business intelligence, data products, process design, or digital solution delivery
  • Strong understanding of self-service analytics, data storytelling, and insight design
  • Experience with AI-enabled tools, workflow automation, prompts, agents, or decision-support solutions
  • Ability to translate business needs into practical and scalable solutions
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills
