Senior Architect

Day to day team management and design implementation from the early stages of design, through technical development, to the construction documentation of Architecture projects. SA will be supporting effective and efficient administration of projects under the leadership of the Design Manager DM, Director/ Head of Department, in promoting the image and values of the company within that group.

Design Management and Team Leadership:

• Assist the DM in technical management of projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Lead teams of Architects throughout the project design stages.
• Lead the delivery of mid‐size projects while providing specialist technical expertise during design.
• Implement the project execution plan & Design Management plan.
• Maintain quality controls and design checks throughout the project.
• Communicate (as needed) with the project stakeholders (clients, consultants, contractors; …etc.) to manage expectationsand drive success.
• Participate partially in the preparation of proposals in terms of Scope identification, Design Methodology, Designmanagement plan, deliverables and design budget.
• Participate in the preparation of the projects’ MOM, Design Change logs, Coordination logs, Risk register and other related documentation as specified in the list of deliverables.

Design & Technical Expertise:
Contribute to preparation of project/s’ concept design preparation including but not limited to:

• Design Delivery plan
• Design Management Plan
• Presentation/s
• Drawings and reports
• Collaborate with DMs and D/HoD on complex design challenges and ensure technical feasibility.
• Coordinate with Specialty Leads at various stages of project development.
• Develop project deliveries while maintaining high‐quality design documents and construction drawings.
• Develop the project list of deliverables in line with the project contract brief.
• Assist in the applicable code implementation and compliances in coordination with specialists.
• Lead the process of materials/ systems selection and coordinate with specifications team requirements.
• Stay current with industry trends, building codes, authorities regulations, and best practices in architectural design.
• Integrate early MEP, FLS, and specialties requirements / assumptions prior to the engagement of stakeholders.
• Undertake the leading role in the design coordination process, and record/ track formally its development; within
• Architectural discipline, and with other disciplines (whether in house or external design partners: civil, structure, MEP, ID, Landscape, vertical transportation, & other specialists’ consultant)
• Develop the project BIM Models and production of Design documents/reports.
• Perform Gateway review for all review comments prior to posting them for the review session.
• Maintain the models’ BIM quality level in coordination with the BIM Coordinator / Manager.
• Accountable for successful project delivery meeting the targeted deadlines.
• Accountable for maintaining the project deliverables Quality.
• Accountable for efficient planning and utilization of project’s man‐hours assigned to the design team.
• Collaborate with Spec writer for the development of the project/s architectural specifications.
• Collaborate with QS for the development of the project BOQs related to architecture.
• Contribute to projects’ VE process related to architecture.
• Contribute to projects’ tendering process related to architecture.
• Contribute to projects’ supervision process related to architecture In‐Office support.

Department Operations:

• Maintain professional code of conduct in line with the company’s ethics.
• Report weekly to the Design Manager on project and design progress.
• Coordinate with team members within their assigned projects.
• Collaborate effectively with other disciplines and external consultants.
• Participate in Knowledge sharing and skills development.
• Develop full ownership approach to assigned design projects.
• Mentor continuously the assigned young Architects to ensure technical carrier developments as directed by HoD.

• Bachelor’s in architecture with significant experience, (Master's degree is a plus).
• Minimum of [10] years of experience in architectural design, at least practicing SA responsibilities for 2 years.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction practices, authorities’ regulations, and building codes.
• Diversified experience in typology of projects in GCC region.
• Proven track record of successfully managing mid to large scale architectural projects and leading teams.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in BIM process, implementation and workflows.
