Accountabilities
- Partner with product management and engineering teams to define and design technical solutions aligned with strategic objectives and product roadmaps.
- Develop architectural designs and technical visions for scalable, reliable, secure, and highly available software systems.
- Present and communicate architectural decisions, technical strategies, and security designs to cross-functional stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Establish and promote standards for system architecture, software development, testing, quality assurance, and engineering practices.
- Design solutions that meet demanding requirements for scalability, usability, reliability, performance, and availability.
- Provide technical guidance and architectural leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, operations teams, and other technical stakeholders to ensure architectural solutions are effectively implemented.
- Evaluate complex technical challenges and identify practical, sustainable solutions that support long-term business and engineering objectives.
- Research emerging technologies, architectural patterns, and industry trends related to network operations, automation, distributed systems, and infrastructure.
- Encourage continuous improvement of engineering and architectural practices through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and technical innovation.
- 12+ years of professional experience in software engineering, architecture, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong experience designing and implementing distributed systems at scale.
- Proven track record delivering scalable, reliable, secure, and highly available software solutions.
- Extensive understanding of software architecture, system design, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments and strong familiarity with software development in those environments.
- Ability to communicate complex architectural concepts and technical strategies clearly to both technical and cross-functional audiences.
- Experience presenting architectural designs, security approaches, and technical visions to senior stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the judgment to balance technical requirements, business objectives, reliability, and scalability.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams without relying solely on formal authority.
- Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies and their practical application to network operations, automation, and distributed infrastructure.
- Base salary range of $169,300–$304,700 per year for U.S.-based candidates, depending on experience, skills, certifications, and location.
