We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Asset and Capital Portfolio Management Analyst to join us in our Asset and Capital Portfolio Management team in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney on a full time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Head Of Asset and Capital Portfolio Management, you will play a key role in providing insights, reporting and governance that enables effective Stay in Business (SIB) Capital portfolio execution and strategic asset management across APA operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop reporting, dashboards and insights that enable project delivery teams, operational leaders and executives to make informed SIB Capital portfolio decisions
- Analyse portfolio execution trends, risks and opportunities to provide constructive challenge and support improved SIB Capital portfolio outcomes.
- Coordinate planning and governance activities across Asset Management and the SIB portfolio
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Project Delivery and Finance to challenge assumptions and ensure quality insights and data are available to drive portfolio decision making
- Prepare deliverables for enterprise strategic planning, asset management, benchmarking and budget processes
- Support continuous improvement of portfolio management, project management, reporting and governance processes
Your background
- Experience in capital portfolio management, project controls, project delivery or business performance within operational environments from industries including energy, oil and gas, mining, infrastructure and utilities.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and portfolio-level prioritisation
- Analytical and curious, with the ability to challenge assumptions and use data driven storytelling to influence stakeholders to improve portfolio performance
- Strong communicator with an ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for operations, project delivery, finance and executive audiences.
- Proactive and takes ownership of deliverables, with persistence to run issues to an outcome.
- Advanced Excel skills and experienced developing data models, dashboards and reporting using BI platforms such as Power BI or Tableau
The Asset and Capital Portfolio team sets the strategic direction for the Operations Division, aligning asset and capital portfolio decisions with APA’s corporate strategy and ambition. Through Asset Management, Capital Portfolio Management and Insights and Analytics, the team provides the systems, processes, governance and insights needed to ensure our asset activities and investment delivers value to APA and supports the safe, reliable and sustainable supply of energy for our customers.
