Senior Assistant Manager, HR Partnering

As a key member of the HR team, you will support the HR Business Partner (HRBP) in managing a broad range of HR matters for the College of Engineering (CoE). You will contribute to the effective delivery of HR services across recruitment, employee lifecycle management, performance management, HR operations, and HR initiatives, while partnering with stakeholders to support a positive employee experience and the College's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

You will support the HR Business Partner (HRBP) in delivering timely and effective HR services across the following areas:

  • Recruitment: Partner with the Talent Acquisition and HR Shared Services teams to support end-to-end recruitment activities, ensuring timely hiring of suitable talent. Liaise with external recruitment agencies and manage vendor coordination as required.

  • Contract Renewals: Coordinate and administer staff contract renewal processes, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure timely completion.

  • Performance Management: Support the performance management cycle by tracking timelines, guiding managers on performance management tools and processes, and consolidating data to facilitate calibration and management discussions.

  • HR Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate HR data and assist in the preparation of reports, analytics, and key HR updates to support informed decision-making.

  • HR Advisory: Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and work processes.

  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Support employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, and other HR administrative processes to ensure a positive employee experience.

  • HR Projects: Collaborate with the HRBP and HR Centres of Excellence on HR initiatives, including policy reviews, process improvements, and organisational projects.

Qualifications:

  • Degree with at least 3 years of experience in human resources administration or a related field. Candidates with prior experience of working in an educational / academic/ research environment would have an added advantage

  • Highly attentive to details, possess the ability to multi-task and to manage deliverables under tight timelines

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and evolving HR needs

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated

  • Candidates with prior experience in using Workday system would have an advantage

The appointment level (Assistant Manager/ Senior Asst Manager) will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant work experiences.
