Senior Assistant Vice President - Payment Integrity Solutions
The Sr. Assistant Vice President, Solutions & Innovation will play a key role in advancing EXL’s Payment Integrity solution strategy by partnering with senior leaders, product, technology, analytics, operations, and client teams to translate market needs into scalable, differentiated offerings.
This role is designed for a proven healthcare solutions leader with 10–15 years of experience in healthcare technology, payer operations, analytics, digital transformation, or enterprise solution development. The ideal candidate brings strong payment integrity or healthcare payer domain knowledge, practical experience supporting platform-enabled solutions, and the ability to connect client challenges to measurable business value.
Working closely with senior leadership, this individual will help incubate new solution concepts, define solution requirements, support enterprise platform roadmaps, and contribute to go-to-market readiness for next-generation capabilities. The role will also support strategic pursuits and client conversations by developing compelling solution narratives, participating in workshops, and helping demonstrate the value of EXL’s AI, automation, analytics, and data platform capabilities.
This leader will contribute to solution architecture, business case development, operating model design, and cross-functional execution to help bring market-ready offerings to scale. Success in this role requires a balance of healthcare payer expertise, technology fluency, structured problem solving, executive communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively across matrixed teams.
This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Payment Integrity or another senior leader within the Payment Integrity Strategic Growth Unit.
Solutions Strategy & Innovation:
- Support the development of scalable, technology-enabled healthcare solutions that address evolving payer and payment integrity needs.
- Contribute to the incubation and advancement of enterprise platforms leveraging AI, automation, advanced analytics, and data capabilities.
- Partner with product, technology, analytics, and operations teams to define solution requirements, workflows, data needs, and integration considerations.
- Assess market trends, client pain points, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities for new or enhanced solution offerings.
- Translate innovation concepts into practical solution designs, use cases, business requirements, and commercialization plans.
Client Engagement & Growth
- Participate in client-facing discussions with executive and senior stakeholders to understand priorities, pain points, and transformation goals.
- Support strategic pursuits, RFPs/RFIs, finalist presentations, and solution workshops by helping articulate EXL’s differentiated capabilities and value proposition.
- Serve as a solution advisor by connecting healthcare payer trends, payment integrity challenges, and technology innovation to client business outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners, technology providers, and ecosystem stakeholders to strengthen solution capabilities.
Enterprise System Development
- Support the development and scaling of enterprise-grade platforms that enable data-driven payment integrity and healthcare solutions.
- Work with engineering, product, analytics, and delivery teams to promote scalable architecture, interoperability, and effective integration across systems.
- Help lead pilots, proofs of concept, and rapid prototyping efforts to validate emerging capabilities and accelerate innovation cycles.
- Contribute to reusable frameworks, playbooks, and solution assets that support modular and scalable deployment.
Leadership, Reporting & Strategic Insights
- Prepare insights and updates for senior leadership on solution development progress, innovation pipeline activity, market opportunities, and client feedback.
- Define and track success metrics for pilots, solution launches, client engagements, and innovation initiatives.
- Support governance routines that ensure solution development remains aligned to business priorities, delivery feasibility, and measurable client value.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional contributors or small teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and practical innovation.
Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Experience:
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in healthcare technology, healthcare analytics, payer operations, enterprise solutions, digital transformation, or payment integrity solutioning.
- Demonstrated experience supporting the design, development, or implementation of healthcare platforms, analytics solutions, automation-enabled workflows, or transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare payer ecosystem, payment integrity operations, claims workflows, provider abrasion, and technology-enabled healthcare solutions.
- Experience supporting client-facing solution discussions, executive presentations, RFP/RFI responses, or large deal pursuits.
- Working knowledge of analytics, AI/ML, automation, data platforms, and enterprise technology concepts, with the ability to translate them into business value.
- Ability to translate complex industry challenges into structured use cases, solution requirements, operating models, and implementation considerations.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with comfort engaging senior stakeholders across business and technology audiences.
- Entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset with the ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous, and innovation-driven environments.
- Experience leading workstreams, mentoring team members, and influencing cross-functional teams without relying solely on direct authority.

Salary Range: $146,000 - $209,000
The posted range is the hiring range for this role — a subset of the broader range available to employees over time — and reflects base salary across our national hiring scale. Final offers are based on several factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, internal pay equity, work location, market conditions for the role, and the specific scope and responsibilities of the position. The top of the range is reserved for candidates who notably exceed the requirements; the lower end applies to those with less experience or fewer preferred qualifications. For positions based in higher-cost zones (e.g., California, New York, New Jersey), actual compensation may exceed the posted range; your recruiter will share specifics during the process.
