We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure to design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure. This role is responsible for driving automation, optimizing deployment processes, and enhancing platform reliability through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and operational best practices.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Azure cloud environments, infrastructure automation, deployment workflows, and production support, with a strong focus on performance, security, resilience, and cost efficiency. This role also requires close collaboration with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to support solution delivery, operational improvements, and infrastructure planning for business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure on Microsoft Azure to support application and platform needs.
Develop, manage, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and other Azure-supported automation frameworks to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments.
Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions to support efficient, automated, and reliable software delivery.
Support infrastructure planning and design for high availability, scalability, resilience, and Azure regional deployment requirements, ensuring solutions align with best practices and operational standards.
Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, or similar platforms to support system health and performance visibility.
Work closely with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to support release processes, environment stability, and operational improvements.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and environment-related issues within Azure, including identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Apply cloud security best practices across Azure environments, including identity and access management, network security, secrets handling, and the protection of infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
Monitor and optimize Azure resource usage, performance, availability, and cost efficiency on an ongoing basis.
Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes to ensure resilience and continuity of critical systems and services.
Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation for infrastructure configurations, deployment workflows, support procedures, and operational standards.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of DevOps processes, automation practices, and cloud platform operations within the Azure environment.
Support production operations, incident response, change implementation, and overall platform reliability in accordance with business and service requirements.
Support project initiation activities, including contributing to RFP responses and infrastructure solution proposals where required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or in a similar role supporting cloud infrastructure and deployment operations (Azure).
Proven hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and DevOps practices within the Microsoft Azure environment.
Experience managing application server configuration and deployment environments, particularly for hosting PHP Laravel applications, is an added advantage.
Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly using Terraform and other Azure-supported automation frameworks.
Strong experience building, maintaining, and supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, and other relevant automation tools.
Experience automating infrastructure provisioning, deployment workflows, and operational tasks to improve reliability, consistency, and efficiency.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, or similar observability platforms.
Good understanding of cloud networking, identity and access management, security best practices, and data protection within Azure environments.
Familiarity with scripting and automation using languages such as Bash and PowerShell.
Experience troubleshooting infrastructure, deployment, and environment-related issues, with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Good understanding of backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability concepts within Microsoft Azure environments.
Ability to optimize cloud environments for performance, availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with development, QA, security, infrastructure, and business teams.
