As a Senior Associate, the PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this role include:

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of mobile applications built with Flutter, ensuring high standards of performance, scalability, security, stability, and user experience.

• Take ownership of the mobile application codebase and contribute to technical decisions related to architecture, design patterns, framework usage, and development best practices.

• Drive continuous improvement of existing mobile applications by identifying opportunities for feature enhancement, performance optimization, usability improvements, and technical modernization.

• Collaborate with product owners, designers, backend developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable and reliable mobile solutions.

• Evaluate, propose, and implement new features and enhancements that address user needs, business priorities, and operational efficiency.

• Ensure the quality of deliverables through appropriate testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing support, and pre-release validation before deployment to production.

• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex application issues, defects, and production incidents, and drive root cause analysis and long-term fixes.

• Monitor application health, compatibility, and release performance across supported mobile OS versions and devices, and proactively recommend improvements to enhance user experience and reliability.

• Maintain and improve existing codebases through re factoring, optimization, and adherence to clean code principles, coding standards, and maintainability best practices.

• Ensure secure development practices are followed across the mobile development lifecycle, including secure code handling, dependency management, source control hygiene, and mitigation of cybersecurity risks.

• Oversee and support application release management activities, including build preparation, version control, deployment coordination, and publishing to platforms such as App Store Connect, Google Play Console, and Huawei AppGallery.

• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with engineering standards across the team.

• Support documentation of technical designs, implementation approaches, and key system changes to improve knowledge sharing and long-term maintainability.

• Stay current with emerging mobile technologies, Flutter ecosystem updates, and industry best practices, and apply relevant improvements to the team’s development approach.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Relevant professional certifications are an advantage.

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience, with significant hands-on experience in mobile application development and strong expertise in Flutter and Dart.

• Proven experience in designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting production-grade mobile applications throughout the full software development lifecycle.

• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, object-oriented programming, software design principles, and best practices for building scalable and maintainable applications.

• Demonstrated ability to make sound technical decisions and contribute to the overall design and architecture of mobile solutions.

• Strong experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs, backend services, and third-party libraries/SDKs.

• Solid hands-on experience with state management approaches such as Provider, Dependency Injection, and other modern patterns such as Provider 2.0/ Riverpod, or equivalent.

• Experience in maintaining and optimizing existing codebases, including refactoring for improved performance, readability, scalability, and maintainability.

• Strong understanding of secure coding practices, mobile application security considerations, and how to ensure applications and code repositories remain aligned with cybersecurity and coding best practices.

• Experience with version control systems such as Git, and proficiency with development tools such as Android Studio, VS Code, and related debugging/profiling tools.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated build and deployment processes, and mobile release management.

• Proven experience in publishing, managing, and maintaining app releases on Apple App Store Connect, Google Play Console, and preferably Huawei AppGallery.

• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting complex issues to improve application quality, reliability, and performance.

• Ability to review code, uphold engineering standards, and contribute to continuous improvement in development processes and practices.

• Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including product owners, backend developers, QA engineers, designers, and business stakeholders.

• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies; familiarity with tools such as JIRA is an advantage.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English.
