Senior Associate- Product & Channel Marketing (Remote)
The Senior Associate, Product and Channel Marketing plays a key role in developing and monitoring marketing strategies and go-to-market plans that align with Line of Business goals. Serves as a strategic marketing partner to assigned business stakeholders, utilizing a data-driven, account management approach, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering customer-centric marketing strategy. Partnering with Sales, Product and Marketing shared service teams, this role will define target audiences, develop and articulate offering value propositions, and establish messaging strategies to support product sales, brand awareness, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Planning:
• Collaborate with the Line-of-Business (LOB) team to define business objectives, customer segments, and product offerings.
• Develop marketing plans that support sales and growth goals, leveraging market insights, competitor analysis, and customer behavior trends.
• Play key role in developing strategic briefs to guide marketing plans and go-to-market strategy.
• Engage research, stakeholders, and LOB teams to develop strategic messaging platforms to guide development of campaigns, content, and creative design.
Plan Monitoring:
• Ensure all campaigns are aligned with marketing plans, LOB objectives, and messaging platforms.
• Review and communicate campaign performance, identifying improvement and optimization opportunities.
• Works within project management system to track progress of marketing projects and serves as the subject matter expert for all channel marketing projects.
• Monitor LOB budgets ensuring alignment with annual plans and GTM activities.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Act as a liaison between the LOB team, marketing teams, and external partners to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.
• Support internal communication efforts to keep stakeholders informed about marketing initiatives and results.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES
Industry Expertise:
• Solid understanding of the Insurance and Retirement lines of business and their market environments.
• Familiarity with customer demographics, behavior, and key competitors.
Marketing Concepts:
• Proficiency in marketing strategy development, campaign planning, and execution.
• Knowledge of customer lifecycle marketing, segmentation, and targeting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of digital marketing channels, including social media, email, SEO/AEO, PPC, and content marketing.
• Expertise in leveraging paid, earned, and owned media for brand growth.
Data, Analytics, and Legal Standards:
• Strong understanding of metrics, including ROI, CAC, LTV, and engagement rates.
• Knowledge of A/B testing, audience segmentation, and personalization techniques.
• Awareness of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and marketing compliance rules.
• Familiarity with ad and content guidelines for different platforms.
Strategic Planning:
• Ability to contribute to long-term marketing strategies that align with business objectives.
• Skills in prioritizing projects to achieve maximum impact within budget constraints.
Project Management:
• Expertise in managing cross-functional campaigns with multiple deliverables and deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills to oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating compelling content and presentations.
• Ability to adapt messaging for different channels and audiences.
Collaboration and Analytical Thinking:
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, build alignment, and gain support for marketing strategies and priorities across Lines of Business and cross-functional teams.
• Experience mentoring junior associates or collaborating with teams across functions.
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Qualifications & Experience
• 7+ years of experience in marketing, product marketing, channel marketing, or related disciplines, preferably in a B2B environment.
• Experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans and go-to-market initiatives that support business growth objectives.
• Financial services, insurance, retirement, or other regulated industry experience preferred.
• Proven ability to translate business objectives and market insights into effective marketing strategies, messaging, and value propositions.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, influence decision-making, and drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
• Experience using marketing analytics and performance metrics to measure results and optimize outcomes.
• Experience managing marketing budgets and ensuring alignment with annual business and go-to-market plans.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously and balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with enterprise project management platforms (e.g., Workfront) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
