Senior Associate, Product Specialist/ Supply Connectivity/ API/ Backend Engineer

What You’ll Do

• Manage inbound API integration requests from suppliers, partners, and internal teams (BD, customer experience, operations).
• Onboard new suppliers onto Klook’s API connectivity: run test cases and UAT with their teams, and support go-live.
• Set up and maintain product mappings in Klook’s internal tools, ensuring reliable connectivity between supplier reservation systems and Klook.
• Monitor integration health (connection status, error rates, issues) and follow up proactively, not just when tickets come in.
• Troubleshoot and analyse integration issues (availability, pricing, booking and cancellation flows), and work with R&D to resolve them.
• Be the contact for suppliers and their tech teams: support and advise on API integration, share best practices, and build long-term working relationships.
• Become a subject matter expert on Klook’s API integrations, including industry standards such as OCTO, across multiple product verticals.
• Use AI to work smarter: build internal tools and automations with AI tools such as • • Claude to handle bulk actions and repetitive setup work, and keep SOPs and mapping guides up to date so knowledge scales across the team.
• Prioritize API projects by business impact and effort, and drive them end-to-end as the liaison between Tech, Business teams, and external partners.

What You’ll Need

• Strong attention to detail and patience for precise, hands-on work.
• A solid understanding of how APIs work and the logic behind them (requests/responses, endpoints, data flow, error handling). You don’t need to be an engineer.
• Strong English communication, written and spoken, for working with international partners.
• Analytical mindset: comfortable digging into logs, data, and error messages to find root causes.
• Basic project management skills and the ability to deliver on timelines.
• Clear, clean documentation habits.
• Enthusiasm for AI tools and a habit of automating repetitive work. You don’t need to be a developer, but you’re comfortable learning and experimenting.
• Nice to have: Mandarin (spoken and written); a degree in CS, IT, or a field that builds logical thinking; experience in travel/OTA; familiarity with Postman, JSON;
