Senior Automation Engineer
About the Role
Join our client as a Senior Automation Engineer on a trade, supply chain, and microfinance digital product. You will drive end-to-end test automation, from strategy and framework design to execution, reporting, and handover, helping the team improve quality and cut manual testing effort.
You will work with Automation Architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver automation that is scalable and easy to maintain.
What You'll Do
• Assess requirements, user stories, and test cases to find automation opportunities, and run feasibility checks and proofs of concept.
• Design, build, run, and maintain automated test scripts and reusable components across web, API, database, desktop, cloud, and enterprise applications.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
• Monitor test runs, troubleshoot failures, and keep scripts stable.
• Manage test assets, results, and defects in Azure DevOps.
• Report automation metrics, dashboards, risks, and quality trends to stakeholders.
• Support test closure, knowledge transfer, and handover, and perform manual testing when needed.
What You'll Bring
Must-have
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6+ years in test automation engineering, quality assurance, and software testing.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools and platforms such as Datadog, Power Automate, and other industry-leading solutions.
• Proven experience building and maintaining enterprise-level test automation frameworks.
• Experience in Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and enterprise application environments.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Nice-to-have
• Certification in automation testing.
• Experience in financial services and banking.
