Senior Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to lead the architecture, delivery, and ongoing optimization of enterprise automation workflows. In this role, you will act as a key technical partner to cross-functional teams (including HR and Legal), transforming complex operational workflows into seamless, reliable digital processes. You will leverage low-code/no-code platforms, API integrations, lightweight Python scripting, and generative AI features to build scalable solutions that eliminate manual friction.

Key Responsibilities

• Workflow Architecture & Delivery: Build, deploy, and support robust enterprise integrations using Power Automate, and Copilot Studio.
• System Integration: Connect core business systems—including Workday, SmartRecruiters, DocuSign, and Jira—via REST APIs, MCPs, and custom connectors.
• Process Discovery & Analysis: Collaborate closely with HR, Legal, and business stakeholders to map, optimize, and validate end-to-end processes before writing code.
• Custom Development: Write and maintain lightweight Python scripts for data manipulation, custom API calls, and utility routines supporting automated flows.
• Production Operations & Support: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize live automations to ensure high availability and minimal business disruption.
• AI & Innovation: Identify and implement practical AI/LLM use cases (e.g., Copilot Studio agents) to enhance complex decision-making within standard workflows.
• Documentation & Governance: Maintain clear visual workflow diagrams (Draw.io, Mural) and technical documentation (Confluence/Wiki) for system inventory and governance.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Automation Expertise: Proven track record of delivering end-to-end enterprise automations in Power Automate and Copilot Studio.
• Integration & API Skills: Practical experience testing and working with REST APIs using tools like Postman, SDKs, or Model Context Protocols (MCPs).
• Scripting Capability: Working knowledge of Python for data transformation, payload parsing, and custom integration logic.
• Domain Experience: Prior experience automating business operations within HR or Legal domains (e.g., onboarding, contract routing, recruitment workflows).
• Methodology & Mindset: A strong process-first approach—understanding the business problem before building—alongside experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical details and non-technical business needs.
