Senior Automation QA Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a QA engineer who is equally strong in test automation and manual testing, with a passion for AI-driven quality engineering. You will own test strategy, build automation frameworks, and actively leverage AI tools to increase test coverage, accelerate execution, and improve defect detection.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain automated test frameworks for web and APIs.
- Write and execute automated tests using tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.
- Perform exploratory, regression, smoke, and UAT manual testing.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Use AI tools for:
- Generating test cases and scripts
- Analyzing test failures and flaky tests
- Predicting high-risk areas
- Improving regression coverage
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to shift-left testing.
- Review requirements and provide early QA feedback.
- Monitor test metrics and continuously improve test strategy.
Requirements
- Strong experience in test automation for web and APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
- Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python for automation.
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted testing tools or LLMs.
