Senior Automation Test Engineer
Summary
Designs and runs automated system-level tests for automotive ECUs using Robot Framework with Python keyword libraries, and owns CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Artifactory) plus HIL test bench setup. Work spans ECU flashing, UDS/DoIP diagnostics, DLT traces, and cloud backend API validation.
Within the project, your main tasks will include:
1. Test Case Automation
- Design and implement system-level test cases in Robot Framework, backed by Python keyword libraries.
- Validate against real system evidence: DLT traces, device logs, SSH command output on multiple OS domains (Linux/RichOS, QNX, ...), diagnostic responses, and cloud-side backend APIs.
2. Test Process
- Build and maintain the integration between test execution and Jira / Xray (Cloud).
- Own the CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Artifactory) that run flashing, coding, test execution and reporting stages.
3. Test Bench & ECU Operation
- Set up, configure and troubleshoot HIL / standalone test benches and lab infrastructure: ECU wiring and power control, network access (SSH jump hosts, static IPs).
- Flash and code ECUs, manage software builds and variants, drive diagnostics over DoIP/UDS, and work with vehicle bus interfaces (CAN/Ethernet).
- Maintain bench configuration.
- Diagnose failures across the full stack and correctly attribute.
