Senior Automation Tester
Summary
Senior QA automation engineer who automates and maintains test suites (Selenium + Java, REST/SOAP API tests) in Bitbucket/Jenkins, runs daily automation and regression testing, and reports defects for a client in home-buying processes. Hybrid role: 2-3 days per week in the Warsaw office on a long-term B2B contract.

Summary: The Senior Automation Tester will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality software delivery by automating tests and maintaining testing standards in a diverse, agile environment focused on meeting customer needs in home buying processes.
Responsibilities:
Ensure efficient and well-documented testing activities per internal standards.
Automate new test cases, ideally utilizing AI.
Maintain automation test code repository adhering to best practices.
Manage daily test automation runs, including running tests and reviewing results.
Update automated test cases in relevant tools.
Provide continuous code fixes and updates.
Plan and execute regression tests for each software release.
Support the team by identifying and reporting defects early.
Handle defect reporting and verification processes.
Recommend corrective actions post-test execution.
Identify additional scenarios for automation.
Collaborate actively with teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
Support manual testing as needed.
Must Haves:
5+ years of experience in Test Automation.
5+ years of experience with Selenium for modern UI automation.
Proficiency in Java coding for tests (5+ years).
3+ years of API automation testing expertise using REST API and SOAP.
Experience maintaining code in Bitbucket integrated with Jenkins.
5+ years of experience working with GIT repositories.
General testing knowledge equivalent to ISTQB Foundation Level.
3+ years of experience with test management tools (e.g., qTest).
Practical experience with Jira/Confluence; familiarity with SAFe is a plus.
Nice to Have:
ISTQB Foundation Level certification.
Experience with Playwright for UI test automation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proactive attitude and communication skills.
Willingness to learn new tools and processes.
