Senior Automation Tester in Java

We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Tester in Java to join us on our automation journey for our core accounting platform – SimCorp Dimension. This requires a strong understanding of automation strategies and a good understanding of the asset management business.

Responsibilities

• Enable and drive a culture of "Shift-Left" and "Automation-First" in the Agile Delivery Organization, especially in the QA space
• Collaborate with multiple IT and Business stakeholders at all levels across the bank, including international locations
• Execute hands-on manual testing (functional, regression, UAT support) and ensure appropriate test coverage where automation is not suitable
• Design, develop, and maintain automated frameworks and test scripts that are scalable, reusable and robust
• Develop custom tools and integrate them with existing tools to increase test engineering productivity
• Develop test automation strategies/approaches/plans to deliver efficiencies and productivity improvements via test automation
• Apply automated testing methods for conducting multi-layer testing of Desktop, Web applications, APIs & Microservices, Database & Data Services, ETL, and cloud-based applications
• Perform in-sprint automation testing and build a regression test suite
• Conduct comprehensive analysis of any errors found using logs, database queries, legacy and Unix file system, etc
• Manage the complete test and defect management lifecycle across agile methodologies and tools
• Generate test reports and status to be shared across multiple levels

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven development and/or Automation Testing experience, ideally in the finance sector
• Proven ability to create test strategies and test plans covering both manual and automated test approaches
• Product (domain) experience with SimCorp Dimension (core accounting platform for Asset Management) is required
• Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end manual testing including test design, exploratory testing, defect triage, and release sign-off in an Agile environment
• Understanding of functional & non-functional testing and automation concepts and patterns (e.g. availability, scalability, performance and security)
• Understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and DevOps tooling (e.g. GitLab)
• Experience in Python/Java Development for Testing, preferably latest versions Python (3.x.x) / Java (17+)
• Experience in Python test frameworks like PyTest, PyUnit (Unittest), PySpark
• Experience with multiple test automation tools/libraries/methodologies (i.e. TOSCA, Selenium, BDD, Cucumber, UFT, HP ALM, Maven, MS Azure Test Plans, GitLab & MS Visual Studio)
• Experience with Agile QA practices and BDD approach of testing
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the Asset Management domain
• Familiarity with Chispa and pytest-spark
