Senior Automation Tester (Java)

Responsibilities

• Construct and refine automated test scripts capable of confirming application behavior across various system layers
• Determine which functional areas warrant automation focus and rank test scenarios according to potential risk and business relevance
• Run automated test collections and interpret outcomes to catch defects before software ships
• Work alongside developers and business stakeholders to grasp new feature specifications and shape them into actionable test scenarios
• Update and improve current automation suites so they stay aligned with ongoing changes to application behavior
• Trace back test breakdowns to their underlying cause, separating actual product defects from flaws within the test scripts themselves
• Help shape testing approaches and methodologies for upcoming features and platform improvements
• Join planning sessions to help gauge the scope and schedule needed for testing activities
• Contribute to CI processes by making sure automated tests execute consistently as part of build pipelines
• Record testing methods, recognized issues, and effective practices to help the wider team learn and share knowledge

Requirements

• Bachelor's and Master's-level education in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a comparable discipline
• Three years or more of practical, applicable experience working in automation testing
• Solid command of Java specifically as it applies to building test automation solutions
• Real-world experience with Java-based tools designed for Web UI test automation
• Direct experience automating validation processes for web services and APIs
• Comfortable using version control systems to track and manage source code changes
• Strong grasp of principles behind designing and structuring test automation frameworks
• Background applying BDD frameworks within Java-driven testing setups
• Effective communication skills combined with English fluency at C1 level or above, supporting clear interpretation of business needs and their conversion into agentic architecture designs
