Senior Automation Tester – The Hague – Remote / Travel 1 week every 6 weeks
Summary
Senior Automation Tester builds and runs automated tests for Java-based systems, deploys cloud infrastructure, and maintains CI/CD pipelines, with occasional on-site work in The Hague.
This is a remote position.
For an European Institution in The Hague, we are urgently looking for a Automation Tester with with cloud deployments, DevOps and/or infrastructure engineering experience. The requested profiles should be able to develop and implement User Interfaces for Java applications. The Contractor staff will work closely together within technical team developing and supporting tools for the described projects.
Candidates need to be willing to work 1 week per 6 weeks on-site in The Hague, the Netherlands after Covid-19.Candidates need to be fluent in English. A work permit is required.
EU Candidates need to be fluent in English.This position is also open for contractors, who would like to commit long-term.
Tasks and responsabilities:
- Testing of IT systems; Preparation of tests and use cases;
- Provide written reports of test results;
- Recognition of differentiation between UI improvements and those requiring major adaptation efforts;
- Write data conversion scripts, research and write analysis reports, communicate with various technical teams;
- Analyse computer functions, design programs, test and debug, troubleshooting etc;
Profile:
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- +5 years of experience as a Test Engineer (DevOps) where you have worked with the following technical environment based on Java technologies such as Wildfly, Java EE, Spring, Apache, Hibernate, JCR, Mule, MySQL CE and Oracle DB;
- Senior level experience of managing and administering Linux based systems;
- Experience with cloud deployments, DevOps and infrastructure engineering;
- Knowledge of configuring Kubernetes-based infrastructure, networking policies, LBs, deployment strategies and cluster security;
- CI/CD pipeline building tools (git, maven, Jenkins);
- System monitoring experience (Prometheus and Grafana preferred);
- Ability to write Dockerfiles, Jenkinsfiles and Helm charts;
- Cloud automation and infrastructure provisioning (Ansible preferred);
- Experience coding with Python and/or Java;
- Fluent in English;
