Summary

Design and operate a secure, scalable AWS-based data platform using IaC and CI/CD to power analytics and AI products for a logistics and retail analytics provider.

Salary: £20,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Strong experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, or DevOps within data-driven environments
  • Hands-on expertise in AWS, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience building secure, scalable cloud environments
  • Solid understanding of data platforms, pipelines, or analytics ecosystems
  • A mindset focused on reliability, observability, and continuous improvement
  • Technical skills in AWS compute, storage, IAM, and networking
  • Experience with Terraform and/or AWS CDK
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling and pipeline engineering
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, and operational tooling
  • Strong SQL skills and systems thinking
  • Desirable: experience with Lakehouse technologies such as S3 and Iceberg
  • Desirable: experience in regulated or data-sensitive environments
  • Desirable: exposure to multi-account or multi-tenant cloud architecture
Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and operate our AWS-based data platform using infrastructure as code
  • Create and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable safe, controlled deployments
  • Support modern Lakehouse architecture, ingestion, processing, and data serving layers
  • Embed security, governance, and compliance controls across the platform
  • Drive platform observability, monitoring, and performance optimisation
  • Own aspects of cost management (FinOps) and platform efficiency
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Analytics & AI teams to deliver trusted data products
